Andreas Brünniche (b. Roskilde 1704, d. Copenhagen 1769)

Portrait of Priest Nicolai Brorson (1690–1757). Signed and dated A. Brünnicke 1748. Oil on canvas. 80×61 cm.

Nicolai Brorson was among others priest in Løgumkloster and at Frederiksborg Castle. He was brother to the hymn writer, H. A. Brorson.

Provenance: Descendants of Nicolai Brorson until today.

Condition

The canvas is relined. In need of cleaning. Minimal peelings, scratches and retouches plus several crackles.
