This photograph is part of the charity auction of photographs by Danish photographer Jan Grarup on behalf of Dignity – The Danish Institute Against Torture. This organization has just received the Crown Prince Couple’s Social Price 2017. The knockdown price will be donated in full to Dignity.

The photograph is part of Danish photographer Jan Grarup’s newly published photo book “And Then There Was Silence” which contains a large selection of his most iconic photographs from crucibles all over the world. At a large event at The Royal Opera in Copenhagen 6 December 2017 Jan Grarup will be making a staged presentation of his photographs.
