Princess Alexandra of Hanover and Cumberland (1882–1963) was the daughter of Duke Ernst August of Cumberland, Crown Prince of Hanover, and his wife, Princess Thyra of Denmark, daughter of King Christian IX and Queen Louise of Denmark. In 1904, Princess Alexandra married Grand Duke Friedrich Franz IV of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and they had, among others, the daughter, Princess Anastasia of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (1923–1979). She married in 1943 Prince Friedrich Ferdinand of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (1913–1989). They became parents to the below mentioned sisters.

By the was, Grand Duke Frederick Franz IV of Mecklenburg-Schwerin was the brother of Duchess Alexandrine of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, who married Prince Christian (X) of Denmark in 1898.

Condition

Back frame support missing. Could be in need of cleaning. A single minor enamel chip on the right side of the frame. Examined in frame.
