Vilhelm Lauritzen (b. Slagelse 1894, d. Gentofte 1984)

Unique cabinet of solid ash wood, low frame with round legs. Front with tambour doors in two levels, interior with shelf at top and multiple pull-out trays below. Handles and fittings of brass. Designed and made 1941 by cabinetmaker Thorald Madsen, with remnants of maker's paper label. H. 129 cm. D. 48.5 cm. W. 100 cm.

Provenance: Designed and made for Vilhelm Lauritzen's brother and his wife as a present for their 25th wedding anniversary. Hence by descent in the family.
