Portrait of court pharmacist Johann Gottfried Burmann Becker (1802–80). Half length, en face to the right. Curly, brown hair, brown eyebrows, blue iris. Blue coat buttoned up with yellow metal buttons. Champagne coloured vest with thin, dark brown stripes. White collar, tie and shirt front. Warm gray background with hazy light to the right. Signed and dated C. A. Jensen 1826. Oil on canvas laid on panel. 24×19.5 cm. Period frame.

Martin Grosell (1882–1932) was a well-known art dealer and art collector. His collection, which was sold in 1932, consisted of the finest of Danish art in the 19th century.
