FIAT: An original FIAT advert for FIAT 128. Next to the vehicle the sports car manufacturer Enzo Ferrari (1898–1988) and at the top billing text stating “Mr. Ferrari Drives a FIAT”. Magazine poster from 1971. Page size 27.5×20.5 cm. Frame size 43×33 cm.

Enzo Ferrari was known as a combative and eccentric man, who also happened to be a technical genius. Despite the fact that the cars carrying his name were among the fastest and most expensive on the market, the vehicles he himself used were much less fashionable. In his day most people presumed that Mr. Ferrari would every morning be seated in one of his company's latest creations from the factory in Maranello, Northern Italy (Modena), yet the reality was very much different. In his own garage one would find a standard feature FIAT - intended for the European middle class - which he found optimal for everyday use. The statement of the advert is hence completely truthful.

Condition

This is an original FIAT-advert (magazine poster) from 1971, which shows normal signs of handling. Furthermore the paper has yellowed slightly due to ageing/storage conditions.
