The work is a preliminary study for the artist's monumental mural decoration of the Vintersbølle Children's sanatorium at Vordingborg (1939–1942), designed and constructed by the architects Kay Fisker and C.F. Møller, 1937.

Condition

Original condition with crackles originating from the making.
