An early mould-blown clear glass bowl. Signed Alvar Aalto, Karhula. This example made 1937–49 by Karhula, Finland. H. 8.2 cm. W. 28 cm. L. 37.3 cm.
Provenance: The bowl used to belong to interior designer Marlaine Perrochet who was working for Alvar Aalto in connection with the construction of Maison Louis Carré (1959). The present bowl was acquired during that particular period.
