Portrait of Duchess Anna of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorp (1708–1728), née Grand Duchess Anna Petrovna of Russia, with updo hair and aigrette, wearing a lace dress with brooch and ermine cloak with the Russian Order of St. Catherine. Inscribed on a label on the stretcher: “Anna Petrovna, Tochter Peters I von Russland, Gemahlin Herzogs Carl Friedrich von Holstein-Gottorp. Schwieger-[...].” Unsigned. Oil on canvas. 71×64 cm.

Som, small and solid cracks. Minimal scratches and peelings. Retouches distributed in varying degrees. Possibly originally sat in a four-sided frame with oval mounting. Presumably previously roughly cleaned in the forehead.
