Frantz Oscar Jørgensen, 1881–1973, was a Danish career officer, he served in the General Staff from 1918 after which he participated in surveying on Greenland in 1927. He was promoted to colonel in 1931 and was head of the officers' school 1938–1945. In addition to his military career, he was a dedicated athlete who participated in fencing during the London Olympics in 1908, he later became a board member of the Danish Sports Confederation and a member of the Danish Olympic Committee 1935–1940.
