China, Ming Dynasty, Board of Revenue, 1 Kuan (1000 Cash), 1368–1399, Pick AA10, printed on mulberry bark paper and stamped with the Red Seal of Emperor Hung Wu. Defective, upper left corner missing, almost split in two at horizontal fold, small holes and chips.
Provenance: Consigned by the grandson of the renowned Danish collector and engineer Sophus Black (1882–1960), who was stationed in China from 1902 to 1931.
