Vilhelm Lauritzen (b. Slagelse 1894, d. Gentofte 1984)
Unique set of lady's desk, cabinet and shelf of solid ash wood. Freestanding desk with two drawers integrated in rail, fold-down leaf at back. Cabinet with carved door handle, interior with adjustable shelf. Fittings of brass. Designed and made 1937 by cabinetmaker Thorald Madsen. Desk: H. 72 cm. W. 75 cm. L. 48/75 cm. Cabinet: H. 72 cm. D. 48 cm. W. 45 cm. Shelf: H. 21.5 cm. W. 60 cm. D. 17.5 cm. (3)
Provenance: Designed and made for Vilhelm Lauritzen's niece as a present for her confirmation. Hence by descent in the family.
