The present painting is presumably a repetition by the painter's own hand based on his painting, which was exhibited at Charlottenborg 1840 with no. 144.

The canvas is relined. Minor pressure mark from stretcher. Retouches. Peelings. Crackles. In need of a light surface cleaning.
