Olaf Rude grew up on the farm Borretlund in Frejlev on Lolland. The work is probably early from the period around 1905.

Condition

The canvas has been relined. Crackles. Signature hidden under lower frame edge. The canvas loosely mounted in frame with some resulting scratches. Probably restored earlier.
