C.St. A. Bille: Handwritten draft to an invitation for a gala on the occasion Hans Christian Andersen’s 50th anniversary in Copenhagen in 1869. One page. 8vo. Photocopy of the orig. invitation + two printed songs from the party: P. Hansen: “Engang der leved en lille Pog / Med lappet Vest og stumpet Trøie” and Chr. Andersen was enchanted and honored by the invitation, which was signed by among others Mrs. Koch, Miss Ørsted, Drewsen, Collin, Hartmann and Henriques and he immediately accepted: “Med stor Glæde og inderlig Taknemlighed modtager jeg Indbydelsen til den 6te September. Hver især min inderligste Tak! Hjerteligst H.C. Andersen”.
