A rare Russian icon depicting the Blessed Silence Savior, surrounded by several saints. Tempera on wood. 18th-19th century. 35.5×31 cm.
The centre image is the Blessed Silence Savior. The surrounding four motifs are the Mother of God the Softener of Evil Hearts, the Holy prophet Moses and the Miracle of “the Unburnt Bush”, St. Nicholas and the three saints Gurias, Samon and Habib. Rare iconography.
Provenance: An older Danish icon collection.
