An antique Turkoman tentband, Yomut tribe(Yomut Igdir), Central Asia. A complete tribal tentband with a wide variation of ornaments, originally used as a decoration panel for the Yurte(tribal tent). Second half 19th century. Complete length, 1380×32 cm.

The tent band appears in rather good condition, fringes at both ends missing, it appears with several small holes/breaks at foundation and dark stains.
