Provenance: The art collection of a former European general, who was associated with the Russian embassy in Moscow 1970–1989. During the posting, he acquired several artworks, among others the present painting. Thence by descent to his daughter and afterwards to the present owner.
We have noticed that the painting could be in need of a surface cleaning. We have also seen three minimal peelings around the sun in the upper right corner with a crackle above as well as minimal peelings along the frame edges. The painting could also need to be tightened up.
