Bjørn Wiinblad (b. Copenhagen 1918, d. 2006)

A large five-piece earthenware female figure. The upper part with flowerpot in the shape of a hat. Decorated with blue glazed motifs on light grey glazed base, braids decorated with dark blue glaze. Signed Bjørn Wiinblad. Circular socket of grey painted wood. H. 160 cm. H. incl. socket 172 cm. Inner diam. of flowerpot 17 cm.

Patina due to age and use, including traces of limescale on the inside of the flower holder. The reverse of the figure's lowest section has 1 minimal chip in the surface of glaze.
