Charles “Pete” Conrad: An original NASA colour offset photograph of a solar eclipse as seen from Apollo 12 on its return from the Moon on November 21, 1969. Photo size 25×27.5 cm. Frame size 33×43 cm.
The Apollo 11 lunar landing in July 1969 happened in quite another area that had originally been planned by NASA. The Apollo 12, on the other hand, made a precision landing on November 19, 1969 in what has been named “Ocean of Storms” - “Oceanus Procellarum” in Latin. Aboard were the astronauts Charles “Pete” Conrad (1930–1999), Richard Gordon (1929–2017) and Alan Bean (1932–2018). They all returned to Earth unharmed on November 24, 1969.
This is an original NASA colour offset photograph from 1970, which has yellowed slightly due to ageing/storage conditions. Furthermore normal signs of handling.
