“Delegates Chair”. A pair of walnut armchairs. Seat, cushion and back upholstered with patinated natural leather. Model FJ 51. Designed 1951. These examples made 1950s by Baker Furniture. (2)
The chair was designed for the chamber of The United Nations Trusteeship Council. The first few pieces were made by cabinetmaker Niels Vodder, while a production for the UN chamber and the US market in general was manufactured by Baker Furniture.
