Admiral Andreas du Plessis de Richelieu's golden lotus bowl, given to him by King Rama V of Siam also known as King Chulalongkorn. Upper part cast with ornamentation in the shape of flowers, engraved inside with flowers and text in Thai and English: “TO HIS EXCELLENCY PHYA CHOLAYUTYOTHIN IN DEAR REMEMBRANCE AS A TOKEN OF HIGH ESTEEM OF OLD ACQUINTANCE AND SINCER FRIENDSHIP”, mounted on a middle piece and a pierced base richly embossed and cast with floral ornamentation. Siam, approx. 1900. Weight 517 g. H. 8 cm. Diam. 20.5 cm.

XRF test shows a fineness of approx. 22.5k gold. Provenance: Admiral Andreas du Plessis de Richelieu. Hence heirs.
