A British percussion shotgun c 1835–45 by Van Wart Son & Co mounted in iron and German silver. In the butt a patch box for caps covered with a round lid decorated with pheasants, locks decorated with scroll and marked VAN WART SON & CO in a band, c 88,6 cm long barrels in calibre c 17,5 mm. The strap between the barrels is broad and decorated with a hunting scene in silver as well as LONDON TWIST. The wooden ramrod is brass duped and has a bullet screw.
