Johannes Zorn (b. 1739, d. 1799)
Icones Plantarum Medicinalium. 6 vols. Nürnberg 1779–1790. 8vo. Complete. With engraved frontispiece, 6 title leaves and 600 engraved hand-coloured plates of plants and flowers. Bound in 3 cont. half leather, one vol. with broken spine. Wear due to age and use, most plates nice and clean. (3)
The botanist Zorn made extensive trips across Europe to collect medicinal plants, and between 1779 and 1790 he published these 6 volumes of “Icones plantarum medicinalium”.
