A Louis XVI tankard, glass body cut with flowers and geometric pattern, mounted with a silver lid, chased with garlands, top with inserted coin in the shape a gilded 1 thaler anno 1775 with monogram and coat of arms for Duke Frederick August I of Oldenburg (1711–1785), a lion thumb-piece with a red glass stone. Maker's mark W. Presumably Northern Germany, Schleswig or Holstein. Late 18th century. H. 16 cm.

Condition

Minimale wear due age, including silver with minimal marks and scratches plus worn gilding at the top part of the coin. A bit loose lidt mounting on the handle.
