The painting was awarded the Thorvaldsen Exhibition Medal in silver in 1884.

Provenance: Bruun Rasmussen auction 476, 1985 nr. 183.

Condition

The canvas is relined. In need of cleaning. In need of cleaning. A larger repair with retouch on the left side. A few minor retouches, mainly along the edge.
