A Danish officers sabre c 1800 mounted in gilded brass with a stirrup hilt, a c 74 cm long single edged blade marked with the small Danish coat of arms in a black leather scabbard almost entirely covered with three large gilded brass mounts.
Provenance: Joachim Godske Wedell-Wedellsborg 1785–1860.
The blade is spotted and the lower part with signs of rust. The leather is worn and the gilding partly gone on hilt and scabbard mounts.
