Ernst Kühn (b. Copenhagen 1890, d. Gentofte 1948)

Unique three seater sofa with legs of mahogany. Seat, sides and back upholstered with green plush. Manufactured by Normina A/S. H. 73 cm. L. 223 cm. D. 88 cm.

This lsofa was made as part of the interior for “Villa Koux” in Hellerup. Ernst Kühn was, in 1935, responsible for the construction and decoration of the house for the Henkel CEO in Denmark, Edvard Koux. It was decorated with a very luxurious extravagant interior designed by Ernst Kühn.

Condition

Wear due to age and use, including scratches and marks. Upholstery unevenly faded. Some stitchings undone, minor hole in one armrest. Springs and and fabric under seat with defects.
