A French Louis XVI 18k gold tabatiere, of oval form, chased and engraved decoration, the sides with fluting, the cover and base centred with sablé oval cartouches chased with four-coloured gold flower bouquets. Paris 1768–1769. Maker's mark PC, presumably for Pierre Cerneau. Weight 89 g. H. 3 cm. L. 7 cm.
