An Italian Urbino istoriato tazza painted in colours with the Old Testament account of Melchizedek and Abraham meeting for the first time right after Abraham's victory over Kedorlaomer. Melchisedek offered wine and bread and blessed Abraham in the name of El Elyon and praised God for giving Abraham victory in the battle (Genesis 14:18–20). 16th century. Diam. 29.5 cm.
