China, Ming Dynasty, Board of Revenue, 1 Kuan (1000 Cash), 1368–1399, Pick AA10, printed on mulberry bark paper and stamped with the Red Seal of Emperor Hung Wu. Chip in the center of upper margin, small tear in the left side. Nicely printed with unusually clear red seals.
Provenance: The renowned Danish collector and engineer Sophus Black (1882–1960), who was stationed in China from 1902 to 1931.
