“Skovsneglen” (The Slug). A pair of rare and early lounge chairs with white-painted, steam-bent bamboo frame. Semi-circular sides. Made early 1930s by R. Wengler. (2)
Provenance: Acquired by present owners family early 1930s for the house “Kratgården” in Ordrup by Arne Jacobsen. Hence by descent in the family.

Wear and patina due to age and use, including scratches and marks. Later paint with some chips. Cushions with stains and blotches.
