Ole Wanscher (b. Frederiksberg 1903, d. Charlottenlund 1985)

Brazilian rosewood cabinet with curvy top and profiled edges. Front with two drawers and two doors, ebony inlay in between. Mahogany interior with adjustable shelves. Handles, fittings and “shoes” of brass. This example made approx. 1948 by cabinetmaker A.J. Iversen. H. 161 cm. L. 130 cm. D. 45 cm.

The cabinet is similar to the exhibition cases Ole Wanscher designed for The David Collection in Kronprinsessegade, Copenhagen in 1948.
