Amphora with sea sediments. Late Roman- Byzantian, 5th-7th century AD. On stand. H. excl. stand c. 50 cm.

Provenance: Former Danish Prime Minister Hilmar Baunsgaard, 1920–1989. Given as a present at a visit to Rhodes in c. 1970s.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. The bottom broken off. Added 21/8: and hole through bottom. Not possible to examine whether there are cracks under the sediments.
