Provenance: The portrayed Johanne Josefine Finsen, née Wulff. Her son, chief physician Valgard Finsen (1896–1980). His daughter, former Museum Director Hanne Finsen (1925–2023).
The paper is mounted on cardboard (the cardboard measures 23×19 cm). The paper has turned brownish. A little lighter along the edges. Pin holes in the corners and in the middle at the top and the bottom edge. A white spot to the left of her hair bun. A small hole in the paper under the signature. A little foxing.
