An impressive set of twelve Louis XV carved and green painted silk damask upholstered fauteuils à la reine armchairs, each cartouche shaped back surmounted by a floral cresting above outscrolled padded arms and an upholstered seat with floral carved serpentine rail, raised on cabriole legs ending in scrolled toes. The chairs have been recently upholstered and covered with Venetian Rubelli silk with the baroque pattern called San Marco-Giada. Mid-18th century. (12)
