Jacob Frères rue Meslee, attributed to
A French Restauration gilt bronze mounted 'Commode à Vantaux', Carrara marble top, flame mahogany and mahogany veneer over oak, rectangular white marble top above a drawer with gilt bronze mounts and handle, the doors decorated with raised crossed mahogany cornucopia terminating in fine quality gilt bronze baskets of flowers and fruits. The doors open to reveal mahogany lined slides 'à l’Anglaise'. France, c. 1820. H. 100 cm. W. 130 cm. D. 60 cm.
