Fedor Petrov (, Moscow 1750-1768)

A Russian Baroque silver beaker, of tapering form, chased and embossed with maskerons, scrolling stylized foliage with three canopies, under which cartouches with a putto and two landscapes, spreading base. Fedor Petrov (1750–1768), assay scrapes, Cyrillic assay mark MG (1752–1767), Moscow town mark with presumably year 1756. Weight c. 184 g. H. 13.5 cm. Diam. 9 cm.

Provenance: The Danish Envoy and Consul General Hans Poul Hoffmeyer (1893–1962). Thence by descent with residence in Denmark, until today.
