Claus Bohn Jørgensen

A Danish Baroque mantel clock with musical movement, painted wodden case, blue painted brass dial with gilded corner ornaments, pewter chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, movemnet with quater striking large bell and four samller bells. Plaque signed 'Claus Bohn, Bornholm, No. 169'. First half of the 18th century. H. 231. B. 61. D. 35.

Den selvlærte urmager Claus Bohn Jørgensen fra Rønne var oprindeligt udlært skibstømrer og fik borgerskab i 1748.

Condition

Three weights, pendulum and key is enclosed. Wear due to age and use. No guarantee of the function of the clock work.
