Alexa Bruun Rasmussen

Flair for raising the profile of the auction house

Alexa Bruun Rasmussen (b. 1975) is the third generation at Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers, and you could say that art and antiques runs in her blood. As a child, she was taken to all manner of previews, museums and exhibitions, and today she greatly appreciates travelling with her family, whether for business or pleasure.

She trained at Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers and underwent further training at Christie’s art and auction school in London. She has also worked at the Neumeister auction house in Munich, Tajan in Paris and spent a number of years in San Francisco in the US, where she worked for various antique dealers and attended the major art and antiques fairs in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Today, Alexa is director of branding and a valuer of antique silver. She is reputedly Denmark’s only female auctioneer and can always be found at the international auctions at Bredgade, where she is happy to convey telephone bids from the whole world in English, German and French.
