International Auction at Bredgade

We are greeting the summer here in Denmark with a major international auction at Bredgade 33 in Copenhagen from 31 May to 9 June, where more than 1150 catalogue numbers with art, antiques, design, jewellery and wristwatches will be up for auction. See specific dates here

Highlights of the Auction

At the auction we can present older Danish art by Jens Juel, C. W. Eckersberg and Thorald Læssøe, accompanied by fine French antiques such as a Bureau en Pente attributed to Jacques Dubois. We also place a spotlight on art and antiques from Russia and China, not to mention a great series of exclusive Art Deco jewellery as well as gentlemen's wristwatches. Within contemporary art we can offer a large group of artwork by Danish painter Kurt Trampedach that all come from the collection of the American art dealer Allan Stone. We end this summer's auction with a number of rare design icons from the 1950s – made by names such as Hans J. Wegner, Poul Kjærholm and Kaj Gottlob.

At 4pm on Thursday 26 May, the first day of the preview, gallerist Patricia Asbæk will talk about her friendship with Kurt Trampedach. At 3pm on Friday 27 May, museum director Thomas Thulstrup from Koldinghus Museum will give a talk about Fabergé to mark the museum's current exhibition on the legendary jeweller.
