Major demand and high hammer prices

We are experiencing growing interest in our auctions and we are achieving an international price level thanks to our professional expertise, targeted marketing and large network of affluent customers the world over. The recently concluded international auction at Bredgade resulted in some fabulous hammer prices:

• Chinese gilt bronze figure of Buddha Sakyamuni. China, Ming 1368-1644. Hammer price: DKK 2.5 million.

• Max Oppenheimer: "Bildnis Carl Flesch", 1921. Sign. MOPP. Oil on canvas. 113 x 93 cm. Hammer price: DKK 2 million.

• P. S. Krøyer: The painter’s daughter Vibeke and his brother-in-law Valdemar Triepke at the bonfire on the beach on Midsummer’s Eve, Skagen, 1903. Hammer price: DKK 1.65 million.

• Hans J. Wegner: Large, one-off conference table with solid, east Indian rosewood top. Cross-leg frame of ash. Hammer price: DKK 500,000.

• Walasse Ting: "I am still the same old virgin", 1974. Acrylic on canvas. Hammer price: DKK 500.000.

• Necklace with natural untreated marquise-cut Burmese ruby of approx. 5.10 ct. C. 1970. Hammer price: DKK 355,000. 

• Poul Henningsen: “PH-2/2 piano lamp” with frame of browned brass and shades of dark amber coloured glass. Hammer price: DKK 220,000.

• Large, late 19th century French Boulle-style mantle clock on pedestal. Hammer price: DKK 55,000. 

• Signed Hereke pure silk rug, Turkey. Prayer design with flowers, foliage and arabesques. Hammer price: DKK 24,000.
