International auction in Copenhagen
Arne Jacobsen: Unique chest of drawers in Cuban mahogany with brass plinth. Made in 1935 at Rud. Rasmussen's workshop. Estimate: DKK 600,000.
The highlights include one of Laurits Tuxen’s best paintings from Skagen and a private collection of Erik Thommesen’s distinctive sculptures. A narwhal skull bearing two impressive tusks measuring 180 cm is one of the auction’s curiosities, while among the Nordic design furniture, you will find early unique pieces by the architects Kaare Klint, Arne Jacobsen and Peder Moos.
