The artist has repeated this motif several times. One of the works were exhibited at Charlottenborg in 1860 as no. 65 with provenance from “Hans Majestæt Kongen” (His Majesty The King) and a smaller version was sold at Bruun Rasmussen auction 688, 2000 no. 1873, reproduced p. 281.
Crackles and a few minor retouches. In need of cleaning.
