Consignment Deadlines

Consignments for online auctions can be made on an ongoing basis. The consignment deadlines for the upcoming international auction in June are as follows:

  • Oriental art: 4 April 

  • Silver and ceramics: 7 April

  • Antique furniture and carpets: 11 April

  • Jewellery and wristwatches: 11 April

  • Russian art: 14 April 

  • Fine art: 18 April

  • Modern art, design and lamps: 25 April

High Demand and Impressive Hammer Prices 

Our auctions are gaining increased international attention, and we continue to achieve great prices on our auction lots. This is due to our expertise within many specialised areas, a focused marketing effort and a network of strong buyers across the world. We have recently completed this year's first international auction, where some of the most impressive prices include:

 

  • Vilhelm Hammershøi: Landscape from Gentofte north of Copenhagen, summer. 1892. Oil on canvas. 32 x 46 cm. Price: DKK 4.3 million.

  • Asger Jorn: "La Joie d'être" (The joy of being), 1969. Signed Jorn. Oil on canvas. 81 x 100 cm. Price: DKK 1.8 million.

  • Peder Moos: A unique Brazilian rosewood stool. Numerous inlays and woven openwork seat of boxwood. Price: DKK 860,000.

  • Per Kirkeby: Untitled, Læsø 1999. Signed and dated on the reverse. Oil on canvas. 200 x 110 cm. Price: DKK 660,000.

  • Constantin Hansen: Portrait of Marstrand in full figure. Study. 1837. Oil on paper laid on canvas. 34 x 22 cm. Price: DKK 450,000.

  • Axel Salto: A tall stoneware vase modelled in sprouting style. Decorated with sung glaze with green elements. Signed Salto, 20817. DKK 380,000.

  • A pair of almost identical Baroque silvergilt mounted engraved gold ruby glass beakers with covers. Maker presumably Hans II Claus, Nuremberg c. 1700. Price: DKK 360,000.

  • Cartier: An emerald and diamond ring "Panthère" in the shape of a panther set with two pear-shaped emeralds and numerous brilliant-cut diamonds. Price: DKK 160,000.
