A Russian silver covered gravy boat, gilt interior, engraved with edgings and acanthus border, ivory handle and finial, front with noble crowned double monogram Cyrillic B for Benckendorff. Maker's mark AE, assayer Andrei Titov 1796, Moscow town mark. Weight c. 222 gr. H. 9 cm. L. 19 cm.
Benckendorff was a Russian noble family, who was close to the Russian Imperial Court.
Condition
Minimal wear due to age and use.
