A Russian children cossack costume, comprising a red wool hat with sheep wool and yellow ornamental lacework, a linen coat with red wool turn-up plus silver ornamental lacework and imitated wood cartridges, red and purple wool shirt with yellow ornamental lacework, red leather gun holster and red leather boots with yellow ornamental lacework. Furthermore a later red leather belt with silver ornamental lacework. L. coat 71 cm. L. sleeves 32 cm. H. boots 20 cm. (7).

Provenance: Acquired by Erica Zeiner-Henriksen 1922–1927 in St. Petersburg for the son, Richard (“Dick”) Zeiner-Henriksen (b. 1924 St. Petersburg, d. Oslo 2016), later director and well-known Norwegian resistance fighter and saboteur during World War II.
