An English verge pocket watch with quarter repetition on bell, in gold pair cases, pierced and engraved with birds, foliage and masks, white dial with Roman numerals and outer 5-minute Arabic numerals, partly gilt movement signed Windmills London. Outer case indistinctly marked with year mark (Gothic lettering) and maker's mark WI. C. 1700–1720. Weight in total 187 g. Case diam. 47/55 mm.
