Paul Fischer (b. Copenhagen 1860, d. Gentofte 1934)

In the winter 1891 Paul Fischer went on his first trip to Paris. There he became acquainted with the Parisian art scene and the newest way of painting, the Impressionism. Many of Paul Fischer's paintings, especially from the 1890s, have a strong French touch.

National Scala, a place of varieté and entertainment, opened 15 January 1882.
