Gardner Porcelain Manufactory

A large Russian chocolate cup and saucer, decorated with flowers and fruits in Rococo cartouche on wine red ground. Gardner Porcelain Manufactory, early 19th century. H. 12 cm. (2).

Provenance: Provenance: Acquired by Erica Zeiner-Henriksen 1922–1927 in St. Petersburg from Countess Apraxina. She was a sister of Prince Galizine in St. Petersburg, and she told that her brother used the chocolate cup daily.
